Rescue story
After receiving a tip about five abandoned dogs and the remains of another, WEACT went to a breeding facility in Ilpae-dong, Namyangju. It had been two years since our last visit, but the place appeared frozen in time, hardly different from before. The dogs' lives hadn't improved at all, suffering from neglect as the local authorities turned a blind eye. They were left to scavenge for food in constant hunger and forced into continuous breeding and birthing cycles. When the breeder became aware of our rescue attempt, he tried to secretly relocate the dogs under the cover of night. During this process, we also discovered and saved additional mother dogs and their pups hidden in nearby vacant lots, neighboring yards, and even inside homes. Through persistent persuasion and negotiation, we finally convinced the unscrupulous breeder to give up ownership. With the assistance of the KK9 organization, we successfully rescued all the dogs in the breeder¡¯s possession. Among them was #weact_coon, who was finally able to escape the harrowing world of a breeding operation driven by human greed and embrace a new life.

Personality
¡°Life is too short. Let¡¯s just love each other."
Coon, the love missionary, delights in being around people and other dogs¢¾. However, this doesn't mean he rushes in without consideration. Despite being a young pup, Coon is a gentle soul who respects the opinions of others. He exudes charming allure by subtly displaying sweet gestures. However, when it comes to opening up to people, he takes his own sweet time and keeps his space. Building a connection with him requires spending consistent and quality time together. Coon's favorites are walks, followed by meals and treats. Those treats are like his love language and are also wonderful for training. He enjoys sniffing interesting scents and wandering around during walks. Yet, when he meets a like-minded friend, he can't help but bounce around with excitement. With his chill and relaxed vibe, it's hard to resist falling for Coon's charms.

With humans
Coon, who enjoys communicating and interacting with people, seems to be able to get along well with most individuals. Although he hasn't met babies or children yet, he has no difficulty dealing with adult women and men.

With dogs
For those looking to teach their dogs how to make friends, Coon serves as a perfect example. He possesses excellent manners and gets along well with other dogs. He warmly greets them, yet he's a true gentleman who won't intrude if a friend shows disinterest. Conversely, he displays wisdom in steering clear of those who are overly assertive and overwhelming.

With cats
When Coon encountered a cat on the street, he displayed curiosity and appeared as though he wanted to follow it. However, he swiftly forgot about it and became engrossed in something else.

Energy level
Coon is still a young pup, so he¡¯s always full of energy. He¡¯s outdoor potty-trained that he requires at least two walks a day. He used to pull on the leash during walks, but now he walks alongside like a good boy.

Shedding/Barking
Coon¡¯s fur shedding is average, and when he's surprised or wants something, he barks with a growly voice.

Needs help with
Coon prefers outdoor potty, but if it's urgent, he may relieve himself indoors. Therefore, indoor potty training will be a helpful addition. He is well-behaved during walks, but he is sometimes startled by larger objects commonly found in the city, such as trash cans, trucks, and buses, so please help him feel at ease. Since Coon hasn't yet grasped his name, consistent recall practice is necessary. He¡¯s also not quite familiar with playing with toys, but he does enjoy nibbling on human hands. Please encourage him to play with toys!

Health specifics
Coon has recovered from heartworm and is getting healthier day by day!

Ideal family
With just a bit of attention and support, Coon is sure to become a loving and wonderful addition to any family. As he prefers outdoor potty breaks, it would be ideal if his new family could provide him with at least two walks a day. He approaches both people and dogs with caution and calmness, and there is no doubt that he will establish good chemistry with various family members. Coon's kind demeanor and willingness to share his belongings and food highlight his role as an affectionate companion, even within a large extended family containing children.
