Rescue story
WEACT received a report that dogs were being neglected in a shed in Mungyeong. The previous owner was ignorant of the importance of sterilization and failed to provide proper care. Due to uncontrolled breeding, there was overpopulation. The dogs were standing in their own feces, barely surviving on contaminated water and food. It took three separate trips to rescue a total of 48 dogs, and #weact_muffin was one of the survivors to finally take a step outside the dreadful shed.

Personality
"Attention, everyone! Princess Muffin is about to make her entrance."

Muffin has a well-established routine and a clear sense of her preferences. She enjoys light daily walks and finds relaxation in taking naps. Muffin adores the affectionate touch of her foster family. When meeting someone new, she may feel scared initially, but it quickly fades away. With a little patience, you will see her transform into an adorable princess. When Muffin notices you giving attention to other dogs, she will gently tap you with her nose to remind you to focus solely on her. She gets along well with the resident dog in her foster family, but she tends to bark and run towards unfamiliar dogs she encounters outside, possibly due to external noise and unfamiliar surroundings. In such cases, please keep a close eye on her and prevent any potential conflicts with other dogs. Muffin is afraid of having her paws touched, cleaned, and being brushed. It may take some time, but eventually she will become more comfortable with these activities.

With humans
Due to her limited experience with people, Muffin tends to be fearful of them. However, with the necessary time and patience, she will warm up and become an affectionate sweetheart.

With dogs
Muffin gets along well with the resident dog in her foster home, but she has a tendency to run towards and bark at unfamiliar dogs she encounters outside. Please keep a close eye on her to prevent any potential conflicts with other dogs.

With cats
Muffin has never met a cat.

Energy level
Muffin should be walked at least once a day. As she is not a high-energy dog, a short walk during quieter hours would be sufficient for her.

Shedding/Barking
Muffin sheds a lot and may bark to express her needs or wants. Sometimes, she barks out of happiness to greet you, while other times, she may bark to communicate her desire for treats, attention, and affectionate petting.

Needs help with
Muffin is afraid of certain sounds and activities, such as being brushed, having her paws cleaned, or being picked up. It is important to give her plenty of time to adjust and become comfortable with these tasks. Since she has a tendency to chew on fabric items and household wires, please ensure these items are out of her reach to maintain her safety. Muffin has a dislike for both collars and harnesses, with a stronger aversion to the latter. When attempting to put on a collar, she may become scared by the clicking sound and attempt to escape. Establishing positive associations by using treats or engaging in playtime during the preparation for walks can help create a more pleasant experience for her.

Health specifics
Muffin has previous experience with giving birth. Despite her fearful nature, she displayed remarkable courage in protecting her puppies in a challenging environment. Apart from that, she is in excellent health with no medical issues.

Ideal family
Due to Muffin's sensitivity to sound and touch, a home with a calm atmosphere and patient individuals would be more suitable than a home with young children. If there is a resident dog who understands Muffin, she can learn from their example and adjust to her new home more easily. Muffin struggles with being touched by tools, such as brushes. Therefore, it is important to give her plenty of time to understand and become familiar with the purpose of these tools. She is a clever girl who expresses her opinions and desires clearly. Finding a home that understands her actions and intentions and helps her overcome her fears would be wonderful. Muffin is seeking a lifelong family who will accompany her new adventure with perseverance and love.
