Rescue story
In the summer of 2023, WEACT headed to a breeding facility in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do upon receiving a report. Despite having official government approval, the scene was more distressing than anything we had witnessed before. It was filled with severe abuse, illicit euthanizations, unauthorized c-section procedures, and other unlawful practices. Dogs with ruptured eyes, injured limbs, and such severe emaciation that they were in a state of shock were discovered. These unfortunate dogs had endured continuous breeding within cramped cages, with their lives disregarded, devoid of any compassion. Drawing from the evidence gathered at the scene and the tips we had received, WEACT confirmed the harrowing act of using a box cutter to open a mother dog's belly to extract the puppies. We also uncovered a freezer containing over 100 dog carcasses wrapped in newspaper. When the freezer became too crowded, the dogs were illegally buried in the nearby mountains. Initially estimating around 800 dogs at the site, we were ultimately astounded to discover a staggering total of 1,426 dogs. Fortunately, the dedicated efforts of approximately 20 fellow organizations who swiftly offered their assistance, volunteers from across the country, various government agencies, and the cooperation of Gyeonggi-do provided invaluable support for the rescue mission. Together, we achieved an unprecedented miracle by saving all the abused dogs. WEACT brought home 32 dogs, including #weact_lottie.

Personality
With round eyes and a petite nose, Lottie's charm goes beyond her appearance. He's full of energy and loves running around everywhere. You can't help but wonder where all that energy comes from in his small body. At one year old, Lottie adores toys. Playing with toys alone brings him so much joy that even watching him play is delightful. Lottie is genuine in even the smallest of matters, and while his excitement level is usually high, he's very good at calmly receiving grooming and baths. Seeing him rush towards people afterward might make it hard for one to resist falling in love with him. Would you like to experience unconditional love with adorable Lottie?

With humans
Lottie adores people! He delights in receiving gentle strokes while exchanging warm gazes. Being fond of affection, he actively shows his love by closely orbiting around people and expressing his own affection. Regardless of gender, he gets along well with everyone, but since he hasn't interacted much with children, some observation may be necessary.

With dogs
During training sessions, Lottie usually stays pretty calm, but once playtime hits, he's full of energy and mischief! Instead of joining the group play, he's more into playful teasing from a bit of a distance. Lottie's all about active games, and even though he's small, he's not one to be overlooked by his bigger buddies. He's really attached to her toys, so please be mindful as he often guards them in his space.

With cats
Lottie has never met cats.

Energy level
Lottie is highly active. Once he masters leash training, please enjoy spending time with him outdoors. He adores people, toys, and running around. If you play with Lottie and his toys and let him roam in a spacious field, those moments will be the happiest for him.

Shedding/Barking
Lottie often shows interest and occasionally barks when he sees other dogs passing by. While he doesn¡¯t bark frequently, this may vary depending on the surrounding environment.

Needs help with
Please introduce Lottie to his name, so he can recognize it and respond to family members! Starting with focused training using his favorite treats, followed by indoor potty training and leash training. Help him recognize the kennel as a comfortable spot, and since he might try to escape due to his overflowing energy, keep a close eye on him.

Health specifics
Despite concerns about his small size, Lottie is very healthy, thanks to the care provided by everyone at The Home!

Ideal family
We hope Lottie's new family can enjoy fulfilling days together. Lottie gets excited by even the smallest things and has a high energy level, so it would be great if you could play with him enthusiastically with toys in the park and also take time for training. While he may not fit well with households with young children, because he loves people very much, it would be ideal to have a home where he can spend plenty of time with people during the day. Lottie is fine without other pets, but if there is a companion with a similar activity level, he can easily adapt and learn from them. We are looking for a lifelong family who will take care of Lottie and provide endless affection and love.
