Rescue story
In the summer of 2023, WEACT headed to a breeding facility in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do upon receiving a report. Despite having official government approval, the scene was more distressing than anything we had witnessed before. It was filled with severe abuse, illicit euthanizations, unauthorized c-section procedures, and other unlawful practices. Dogs with ruptured eyes, injured limbs, and such severe emaciation that they were in a state of shock were discovered. These unfortunate dogs had endured continuous breeding within cramped cages, with their lives disregarded, devoid of any compassion. Drawing from the evidence gathered at the scene and the tips we had received, WEACT confirmed the harrowing act of using a box cutter to open a mother dog's belly to extract the puppies. We also uncovered a freezer containing over 100 dog carcasses wrapped in newspaper. When the freezer became too crowded, the dogs were illegally buried in the nearby mountains. Initially estimating around 800 dogs at the site, we were ultimately astounded to discover a staggering total of 1,426 dogs. Fortunately, the dedicated efforts of approximately 20 fellow organizations who swiftly offered their assistance, volunteers from across the country, various government agencies, and the cooperation of Gyeonggi-do provided invaluable support for the rescue mission. Together, we achieved an unprecedented miracle by saving all the abused dogs. WEACT brought home 32 dogs, including #weact_finn.

Personality
¡°When people see me, they can't help but focus on me. Because I'm Finn!¡±
Finn may be small, but don't underestimate him. His boundless energy and curiosity drive him to explore by jumping around everywhere! Playing with Finn, you'll be amazed by his stamina, and how quickly you tire compared to him. Finn's vibrant and proactive personality is a charm that helps him get along well with everyone. After spending some time together, Finn loves spending time with both humans and dogs. Would you like to share in Finn's first experiences and journey with him until the very end?

With humans
Finn gets along with everyone, no matter their gender. But there's a simple rule for getting to know him: just show him respect. If you rush to him without letting him get to know you at first, he might ignore you or find it a bit intimidating. So, please wait for Finn to come to you and take it slow to avoid startling him!

With dogs
Finn gets along well with dogs of similar size, age, and build, but there were moments at The Home when he barked at dogs of different sizes. This could be because of his limited experience with other dogs. Additionally, he hasn't met large dogs yet, so it's crucial to observe how he interacts with different friends in the future.

With cats
Finn has never met or lived with cats.

Energy level
Energetic Finn loves running around freely and playing with toys! Although he hasn't experienced walks yet, observing him run indoors with a leash suggests he would do great. However, if his energy isn't fully expended, he might playfully tear up some household items. So, when playing with Finn, bring lots of enthusiasm!

Shedding/Barking
Finn doesn't shed much and frequently joins in barking with friends. However, this may vary depending on the environment.

Needs help with
With his cheerful personality, Finn is exploring the world. At five months old, he's already 50% successful with using potty pads! Finn is smart and quickly grasps things when taught patiently, so please refrain from using a loud voice. It would be wonderful to provide recall, leash, and kennel training. Occasionally, Finn displays coprophagia, eating his own feces. The reasons for this behavior in a young puppy can vary, from nutritional factors to learning from other dogs. Keep a watchful eye to help identify the cause and reduce this behavior.

Health specifics
Finn hasn't been neutered yet and needs to continue his vaccinations. The exact cause of his excessive tear production hasn't been determined, so ongoing attention is necessary. If he occasionally experiences diarrhea, please feed him Hill's i/d prescription diet. It would be wonderful if you could consistently and carefully care for Finn as he grows up.

Ideal family
We're seeking a home without young children, where Finn can spend quality time with the family during the day. It's crucial to provide Finn with training tailored to his growth stages—patient and affectionate. Due to his small size, he might try to squeeze through fences, so please be cautious to prevent accidents. Finn is a cheerful and spirited dog who adapts well with the support and consideration of his family. While a home with other dogs is okay, it's preferable if they are a similar size, as Finn may struggle with a significant size difference. Finn is still in the vaccination process and hasn't been neutered, so please care for him. Instead of just focusing on his appearance, appreciate the various aspects that emerge as he grows and approach them with a positive outlook. We hope you'll wholeheartedly love Finn and look forward to experiencing all his firsts together.
