Rescue story
In the summer of 2023, WEACT headed to a breeding facility in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do upon receiving a report. Despite having official government approval, the scene was more distressing than anything we had witnessed before. It was filled with severe abuse, illicit euthanizations, unauthorized c-section procedures, and other unlawful practices. Dogs with ruptured eyes, injured limbs, and such severe emaciation that they were in a state of shock were discovered. These unfortunate dogs had endured continuous breeding within cramped cages, with their lives disregarded, devoid of any compassion. Drawing from the evidence gathered at the scene and the tips we had received, WEACT confirmed the harrowing act of using a box cutter to open a mother dog's belly to extract the puppies. We also uncovered a freezer containing over 100 dog carcasses wrapped in newspaper. When the freezer became too crowded, the dogs were illegally buried in the nearby mountains. Initially estimating around 800 dogs at the site, we were ultimately astounded to discover a staggering total of 1,426 dogs. Fortunately, the dedicated efforts of approximately 20 fellow organizations who swiftly offered their assistance, volunteers from across the country, various government agencies, and the cooperation of Gyeonggi-do provided invaluable support for the rescue mission. Together, we achieved an unprecedented miracle by saving all the abused dogs. #weact_bbo was born after her mom was rescued by WEACT.

Personality
Please don't underestimate Bbo just because she's the size of your palm. Bbo can't stand injustice. When volunteers come to clean her kennel, she quickly approaches them, inquiring about their purpose. With a curious nature, she fearlessly explores new things, even investigating the living space of larger friends. While attempting to trim her paws and around her eyes, we positioned her body, but she protested and started crying, expressing her disapproval. Get ready for Bbo's lively journey!

With humans
Since the moment Bbo was born, she has been receiving care from humans, so she has no aversion and follows them well. Whether she meets a new person or a familiar one, she'll be busy sniffing away! Since Bbo hasn't encountered young children yet, please monitor the interaction carefully.

With dogs
Bbo, boldly entering the space of even bigger friends, playfully interacts with those slightly larger than her by making sudden moves. Surprisingly, her friends often step back in response. Since she's assertive, adapting to other dogs' temperaments might be a bit challenging, so learning manners as she grows seems necessary.

With cats
Bbo hasn't met or lived with cats before.

Energy level
Bbo is only still when taking a short nap. With her high energy level, she keeps busy during the day, meticulously monitoring every nook and cranny of The Home. It's essential to bear in mind that everything appears fascinating through a puppy's eyes! Surprisingly, she doesn¡¯t readily approach other dogs. Given her small size, guide her to ensure she gets adequate sleep and rest, even if she's inclined to keep playing.

Shedding/Barking
Bbo barks when she's curious. Since she hasn't shed her puppy coat yet, it's challenging to determine the extent of her shedding.

Needs help with
Small-sized puppies tend to enjoy squeezing into narrow spaces. Please carefully monitor Bbo to ensure she doesn't enter any potentially dangerous places, even if it's just for play. She needs help with potty pad training, as well as recall, leash, and focused training to prevent any accidents.

Health specifics
Bbo is healthy, but she experiences excessive tearing, and we have yet to determine the cause.

Ideal family
Bbo is a small and precious puppy. Caring for puppies demands significant attention, and she will require meticulous care for her ongoing vaccinations and health. Bbo has yet to experience her first bath, and due to her sensitive response to hygiene grooming, please proceed cautiously with the numerous upcoming first experiences tailored to her condition. Being independent and active, Bbo is an ideal candidate to be the center of attention in a family as the only dog. It is advisable for her to be in a family that has had dogs before or possesses sufficient knowledge about dogs. Considering her young age, it would be best to stay with her for the entire duration, with 1-2 hours being the maximum time she spends alone. Once her vaccinations are complete, please take her on walks at least twice a day to help her expend her energy. Bbo eagerly awaits a family that will take the responsibility of caring for her seriously.
