Rescue story
In the summer of 2023, WEACT headed to a breeding facility in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do upon receiving a report. Despite having official government approval, the scene was more distressing than anything we had witnessed before. It was filled with severe abuse, illicit euthanizations, unauthorized c-section procedures, and other unlawful practices. Dogs with ruptured eyes, injured limbs, and such severe emaciation that they were in a state of shock were discovered. These unfortunate dogs had endured continuous breeding within cramped cages, with their lives disregarded, devoid of any compassion. Drawing from the evidence gathered at the scene and the tips we had received, WEACT confirmed the harrowing act of using a box cutter to open a mother dog's belly to extract the puppies. We also uncovered a freezer containing over 100 dog carcasses wrapped in newspaper. When the freezer became too crowded, the dogs were illegally buried in the nearby mountains. Initially estimating around 800 dogs at the site, we were ultimately astounded to discover a staggering total of 1,426 dogs. Fortunately, the dedicated efforts of approximately 20 fellow organizations who swiftly offered their assistance, volunteers from across the country, various government agencies, and the cooperation of Gyeonggi-do provided invaluable support for the rescue mission. Together, we achieved an unprecedented miracle by saving all the abused dogs. After being rescued, #weact_brin gave birth to #weact_avo, #weact_cado, #weact_nacho, and #weact_moly at The Home.

Personality
Baby Nacho is a brave and curious adventurer. He's gentle and inclusive, often laughing off excessive pranks from his litter mates with his easygoing personality. Nacho¡¯s adorable chubby belly that shows when he sleeps starkly contrasts with his occasional serious __expression__s! Additionally, his distinctive brown fur around his eyes, resembling a Batman mask, makes him easily recognizable among his siblings. Now, venturing beyond his mother's embrace, he's honing his charms. He's also developing his charming personality as he explores beyond his mother's care. Like his mother, Nacho adores sweet potatoes and delights in playing with wooden sticks and toys with strings.

With humans
#weact_brin¡¯s only son, Nacho, has been loved and cared for since birth, which has made him obedient and affectionate towards everyone. He even accepts affection from unfamiliar people. Nacho is known for his friendly and loving nature, always eager to approach anyone, anywhere. Therefore, it's crucial to keep a close eye on him and ensure his safety, as he may attempt to explore beyond safe boundaries and potentially escape. While he hasn't yet interacted with children, it's anticipated that he will get along well with them.

With dogs
Thanks to Brin's careful attention, Nacho is growing up well and getting along with his litter mates. When meeting other rescues from Hwaseong, he shows affection by lying down and revealing his chubby belly. Nacho often stands up briefly to walk around before lying down again. When approaching other dogs, he always gently wags his small tail and quickly adapts to unfamiliar friends. Overall, he enjoys meeting most dogs.

With cats
Nacho hasn't met or lived with cats before.

Energy level
Always running around and poking his nose into everything, Nacho has an exciting future ahead! His boundless energy is evident every day. Currently in the teething stage, he's inclined to chew on anything within reach. This behavior may pose a problem if he doesn¡¯t expend his energy fully. While Nacho has grown accustomed to wearing a collar, he remains preoccupied with chewing and playing when a leash is attached. He has yet to grasp the purpose of the leash or walking alongside people.

Shedding/Barking
Nacho doesn¡¯t shed much. If he sees people outside his fence, he may seek attention by crying.

Needs help with
Nacho has tried wearing a collar and leash, but when tension is applied to the leash, he awkwardly stops in his tracks. He¡¯s a smart boy and is adept at using potty pads, even quickly using one in the midst of playing to relieve himself. He handles grooming sessions well, especially if given sweet potatoes. At three months old, Nacho has much to learn and discover with the help of his guardian!

Health specifics
Nacho's tooth development appears to be somewhat slow, but there is no significant cause for concern. Like his littermates, he has a slightly popped blood vessel in the eye, so it¡¯s important to monitor his eye heath in addition to his overall growth and development. Otherwise, he is healthy!

Ideal family
For Nacho, who eagerly absorbs various aspects of the world, now is a more crucial time than ever. A home prepared to provide the necessary efforts and resources for his healthy and happy life is crucial. Instead of impulsively adopting him for his cute appearance, we need a guardian who is committed to welcoming Nacho as a long-term family member. While he doesn't require a dog companion, he'll happily get along with one if their personalities match in a loving family. Nacho is waiting for a responsible family ready to embrace him for a lifetime.
