Rescue story
After receiving a tip about five abandoned dogs and the remains of another, WEACT went to a breeding facility in Ilpae-dong, Namyangju. It had been two years since our last visit, but the place appeared frozen in time, hardly different from before. The dogs' lives hadn't improved at all, suffering from neglect as the local authorities turned a blind eye. They were left to scavenge for food in constant hunger and forced into continuous breeding and birthing cycles. When the breeder became aware of our rescue attempt, he tried to secretly relocate the dogs under the cover of night. During this process, we also discovered and saved additional mother dogs and their pups hidden in nearby vacant lots, neighboring yards, and even inside homes. Through persistent persuasion and negotiation, we finally convinced the unscrupulous breeder to give up ownership. With the assistance of the KK9 organization, we successfully rescued all the dogs in the breeder¡¯s possession. Among them was #weact_linen, who was finally able to escape the dark, stuffy breeding facility and embrace a new life with her pup, #weact_bennett.

Personality
Linen is flawless in both personality and behavior. Her tidiness is remarkable: she heads to the furthest room from the living area for bathroom breaks and prefers to do her business outdoors. Maintaining her personal space in impeccable condition is a priority for her, as she promptly alerts her foster mom for cleanup once she's finished. Linen is also very smart. Without much training, she readily sits for treats and is trained in recall. While she's affectionate towards everyone she meets, she holds a special affection for her foster parents and is well-mannered around other dogs. The origins of her impressive skills remain a mystery. She lacks aggression and sensitivity, making her an excellent companion for households with young children. Upon her arrival at her foster home, Linen adapted remarkably swiftly. Although a mother herself, she enjoys playing like a puppy. She's very curious about leaves, twigs, and even rocks encountered during walks. However, when her foster mom calls, she dutifully responds. Though she enjoys gentle nibbling on various household items, she refrains from excessive chewing that could cause damage. Offering her a toy quickly redirects her attention. Linen follows her foster mom very well and will be adored wherever she goes.

With humans
Linen revels in human company, showing her anticipation through gleaming eyes and a wagging tail whenever they move, trailing behind affectionately. She even wants to cuddle at bedtime and enjoys being touched by anyone, including a five-year-old child.

With dogs
Linen maintains a calm demeanor around other dogs; she doesn't jump on her hind legs when greeting them. She approaches new friends cautiously during walks, taking the time to sniff and greet them. Additionally, Linen gets along well with the resident dogs at her foster home.

With cats
Linen hasn't met or lived with cats before.

Energy level
While Linen is not overly active, she loves going for walks. After her walks, she sometimes gets zoomies and then goes to rest in her own space. She goes for walks about three to four times a day, primarily for bathroom breaks. So, if you can frequently take Linen for short walks, that would be wonderful.

Shedding/Barking
As a poodle, Linen may not shed much, but regular brushing is necessary to prevent matting. She rarely barks, except for a couple of times when she hears the sound of a door keypad.

Needs help with
Linen is remarkably stable and doesn't demand extensive training. She slept soundly beside the resident dogs for up to six hours without her foster parents. However, she hasn't experienced being alone at home without the presence of other dogs. Linen is roughly estimated to be between two to three years old, yet it's advisable to approach her as though she's a young pup, still in the process of discovering how to engage with people and navigate the world around her.

Health specifics
Linen is in good health. She does have some tear stains, so please remember to gently wash her face daily and provide her with attentive care, considering that she recently weaned her litter.

Ideal family
We hope that Linen's new family will find plenty of quality time to spend together throughout the day. Linen finds the most joy in sharing everyday routines with her loved ones, from the moment she wakes up until it's time to sleep. Her gentle and reassuring nature makes her a perfect fit for being around young children, other dogs, and bustling households. While Linen wholeheartedly enjoys playtime, she also finds comfort in resting and cuddling up against people. The only thing she truly dislikes is being alone, especially if it means being in small spaces like a car. She's also a little scared about going down stairs, so for now, it's best to hold her and wait for the right moment to help her overcome her fear. Linen also handles wearing a leash and harness quite well. She has excellent recall training, which makes her well-suited for city living. Make sure to take Linen for walks around the neighborhood so she can bask in everyone¡¯s love!
