Rescue story
After receiving a tip about five abandoned dogs and the remains of another, WEACT went to a breeding facility in Ilpae-dong, Namyangju. It had been two years since our last visit, but the place appeared frozen in time, hardly different from before. The dogs' lives hadn't improved at all, suffering from neglect as the local authorities turned a blind eye. They were left to scavenge for food in constant hunger and forced into continuous breeding and birthing cycles. When the breeder became aware of our rescue attempt, he tried to secretly relocate the dogs under the cover of night. During this process, we also discovered and saved additional mother dogs and their pups hidden in nearby vacant lots, neighboring yards, and even inside homes. Thanks to the assistance of Namyangju Agricultural Technology Center officials, we were able to persuade the unscrupulous breeder to relinquish ownership. With support from the KK9 organization, we successfully rescued all the dogs under the breeder's care. Among them was #weact_soda, who was pregnant at the time and gave birth to #weact_namoo, #weact_mua, #weact_ami, #weact_mita, and #weact_tabel.

Personality
Did you know that 'Ami' means 'friend' or 'kind and friendly' in French? This name was given to her when she was just born, and it truly captures her personality. Among her siblings, Ami is the smallest in size, and while she may be reserved, when it comes to love, she is sincere! She takes joy in playing happily with her siblings and expresses her affection enthusiastically by bounding toward people on her cute four legs. Would you like to be her first friend and introduce her to various experiences while sharing your love?

With humans
Ami loves people regardless of gender. As soon as your eyes meet, she enthusiastically rushes over on her petite four legs, offering endless kisses.

With dogs
Ami has not had the chance to meet or spend time with other dogs yet. When you see her playing with her siblings, you can observe that she faces some challenges due to her small size.

With cats
Ami hasn't met or lived with cats before.

Energy level
Ami is still adjusting to walks, displaying some hesitation and trembling when stepping outside. However, as a super active pup, she swiftly gains confidence and begins to enjoy the walk. During this time, encourage her to explore new scents, interact with other dogs, and savor delightful moments at the park. Moreover, involving Ami in playtime with toys at home will ensure an even more enjoyable day for her.

Shedding/Barking
Ami doesn¡¯t shed much or exhibit demand barking. However, as she continues to grow, the level of shedding and barking may vary depending on changes in her surroundings.

Needs help with
Ami, who learned to socialize with her siblings from her mom, #weact_soda, has now started a new chapter. Having become independent and now living with her foster family, Ami has already mastered the use of potty pads! Since Ami is still getting used to walks, please continue leash training and also assist her with kennel training to ensure she can rest comfortably.

Health specifics
Ami has a skin condition caused by a fungal infection, so please ensure to thoroughly dry her fur after baths, as she's experiencing some hair loss around her face. She is currently receiving vaccinations, so regular vet visits are important. Other than that, Ami is very healthy. However, as Ami grows and is exposed to various environments, she may encounter diseases caused by external antigens in the future, so please continue to prioritize Ami's health.

Ideal family
Ami is in her growth stage and requires plenty of interaction during the day with her new family. She also needs focused training and attention, which might be challenging with young children in the household. Ami gets easily overheated, so she prefers lying on the floor and drinks a lot of water. Please monitor the temperature and provide plenty of water for her. Consider giving her long-lasting chew treats to help with her itchy gums. Ami is calm and introverted, so she doesn't resist being held or strongly express her opinions. Please handle her with care. Ami's future size and coat color are uncertain, so don't solely base your decision on her current appearance and personality. Please consider adoption with a sincere commitment. We are looking for a lifelong family dedicated to Ami's well-being and happiness.
