Rescue story
WEACT received a report regarding two dogs found roaming dangerously near Seoul Station without a leash. It was believed that they had been living on the streets for a significant period of time. With the help of multiple reports and eyewitness accounts, we successfully located the man suspected to be their owner. Recognizing his efforts to care for the dogs, WEACT initially explored ways to improve their living conditions. However, upon reviewing the results of their health examination, WEACT persuaded the owner to admit the dogs for immediate treatment and obtained his consent to continue caring for them thereafter. As a result, #weact_hailey, finally received the necessary medical attention and successfully regained her health.

Personality
"The journey for my dream begins now!"
Life on the streets was tough, forcing Hailey to mature quickly to survive. Yet, her puppy-like nature still shines through. Maybe it's because she often went without proper meals that she¡¯s now very interested in food and treats. However, even though she's eager to eat, she can be timid and withdraw when more assertive friends are around. It might be because she was always on guard in the past, and she's still quite anxious about her surroundings. Fortunately, Hailey is not completely averse to interacting with people and other dogs. If she slowly recovers the many missed opportunities and experiences from her time on the streets, her confidence could naturally grow. Hailey's journey to a new life begins now.

With humans
Due to her background of living on the streets, Hailey is cautious and doesn't approach people first. However, observing her interactions with the crew and actors at The Home suggests that she doesn't necessarily dislike human interactions. While Hailey may be a bit wary of strangers, she allows touch and even lets strangers to bathe her. Nevertheless, she can be reserved and shy, so building a bond with her will require some time.

With dogs
Hailey has an introverted side, so when she's around more energetic and outgoing friends during playtime, it may seem like her energy drains quickly. She tends to prefer the company of calm and mellow dogs and can be a bit cautious around new friends, so it takes her a while to feel comfortable with them.

With cats
Hailey hasn¡¯t met or lived with cats before.

Energy level
Hailey doesn't have a high energy level, and she's quiet and calm. She recently started leash walking with her guardian! During walks, she prefers to go at her own pace and take it easy. It seems like one daily walk should be enough to fulfill her exercise needs.

Shedding/Barking
Hailey tends to shed and may occasionally bark when she gains confidence.

Needs help with
Hailey is good at both indoor and outdoor potty training. She recognizes the kennel as her space and enters without hesitation. While she has started going for walks, she may not be completely comfortable with collars and leashes, so creating positive associations with consistent walks is essential. Additionally, she requires diverse experiences to better understand her environment, interact with other dogs, and bond with her guardians, which will contribute to enriching her emotions and behavior.

Health specifics
Hailey received treatment for her kidneys, and she has fully recovered.

Ideal family
Hailey is easily frightened by sudden movements and loud noises, so households with children who may not be mindful of these traits should be avoided. While lively and energetic households are acceptable, she would be better suited to a guardian who can provide a stable daily routine. Now that she has finally found a safe environment, Hailey's future is more critical than ever. Instead of immediately showing affection through petting and cuddling, she requires consistent care that quietly watches over her and offers assistance when necessary. In homes with resident dogs, it would be preferable if they were gentle and calm like her. A different environment may make Hailey nervous and inclined to hide, but she's waiting for a family that can understand and accommodate her temperament.
