Rescue story
After receiving a tip about five abandoned dogs and the remains of another, WEACT went to a breeding facility in Ilpae-dong, Namyangju. It had been two years since our last visit, but the place appeared frozen in time, hardly different from before. The dogs' lives hadn't improved at all, suffering from neglect as the local authorities turned a blind eye. They were left to scavenge for food in constant hunger and forced into continuous breeding and birthing cycles. When the breeder became aware of our rescue attempt, he tried to secretly relocate the dogs under the cover of night. During this process, we also discovered and saved additional mother dogs and their pups hidden in nearby vacant lots, neighboring yards, and even inside homes. Through persistent persuasion and negotiation, we finally convinced the unscrupulous breeder to give up ownership. With the assistance of the KK9 organization, we successfully rescued all the dogs in the breeder¡¯s possession. Among them was #weact_linen, who was finally able to escape the dark, stuffy breeding facility and embrace a new life with her pups, #weact_pudding and #weact_milk.

Personality
Once Aro becomes part of your family, good times will come your way. When Aro first arrived at her foster home, she was so sensitive and cautious that she wouldn¡¯t drink water or eat. Her foster mom was extremely worried, but after a few days, Aro was enticed by her puppy's food. Her appetite gradually grew, and now she gazes longingly during her family's mealtime, making it hard to ignore her. Aro's curiosity knows no bounds. She's constantly exploring scents around the house and attempting to chew or taste anything on the floor. There was an incident where she choked on paper, so it's important to ensure that the floor is free from harmful objects. During walks, Aro finds the world incredibly exciting, zigzagging her way along, greeting other dogs, and showing an interest in her surroundings. She does well with a leash and harness and will soon be able to walk alongside you. Aro startles easily at sudden loud noises, so it's a good idea to opt for quieter places during walks, avoiding spots with the clamor of motorcycles or cars. Aro is a real sweetheart and often follows people around with great enthusiasm. Having her around will surely bring a smile to your face.

With humans
Aro has a deep affection for people, and she's all about snuggling up and getting pets. Thanks to the endless love she got from the foster family's little daughter, she's a fan of everyone, no matter how old or what gender.

With dogs
On walks, Aro fearlessly goes up to larger dogs, eager to sniff them out and make new friends. Still, it's possible that she didn't get enough chances to socialize back at the breeding facility. So, it would be wonderful if you could introduce her to a variety of dogs.

With cats
Although Aro has come across cats at the veterinary clinic, she didn¡¯t react.

Energy level
Aro requires walks at least twice a day. She's so brimming with energy that she's always wandering around even when she's at home. It would be wonderful to join in outdoor activities together.

Shedding/Barking
Aro doesn¡¯t shed much. She'll let out a single bark when someone comes through the front door, but other than that, she's not much of a barker.

Needs help with
Aro is quick to respond and brimming with affection, making her a breeze to train and guide. However, considering her background as a rescue from a breeding facility where she experienced multiple pregnancies and recently underwent extensive teeth extractions, there's a concern that she might associate human actions with discomfort. Ensuring she understands that her family is there to provide care for her is truly vital.

Health specifics
Aro has had all her teeth extracted. Many dogs from breeding facilities suffer from inadequate dental care, leading to inflammation that can extend to the jaw or nasal areas. Aro also experienced severe inflammation, resulting in the need for dental extraction. Fortunately, she's learned to eat both soft food and kibble through practice, so with consistent care, she can enjoy a variety of foods.

Ideal family
Aro is a total bundle of cheer and energy, but there are times when she can get a bit jumpy, especially at loud noises or objects falling. Be sure to reassure her in those situations. Since she's such a people-lover and craves company, we'd appreciate it if she can avoid being home alone for too long. Bath time can be a little intimidating for Aro since she dislikes getting put in a tub of water. To make it a more enjoyable experience, it's better to ease her into it by gently wetting her and giving her some soothing pets. She's doing pretty well with potty pads, achieving an impressive 80% success rate. And it seems like she's just as good in other homes where they have similar setups. Even though toys were a mystery to her at first, Aro now enjoys playing around with them. To keep her curiosity alive, involving her in activities like nose work and playtime would be fantastic. Despite her jitters, Aro's a trooper, especially with her guardian by her side. Remember, taking things easy and gradually introducing her to new things is the ticket to helping her take on the world step by step!
