Rescue story
After receiving a tip about five abandoned dogs and the remains of another, WEACT went to a breeding facility in Ilpae-dong, Namyangju. It had been two years since our last visit, but the place appeared frozen in time, hardly different from before. The dogs' lives hadn't improved at all, suffering from neglect as the local authorities turned a blind eye. They were left to scavenge for food in constant hunger and forced into continuous breeding and birthing cycles. When the breeder became aware of our rescue attempt, he tried to secretly relocate the dogs under the cover of night. During this process, we also discovered and saved additional mother dogs and their pups hidden in nearby vacant lots, neighboring yards, and even inside homes. Through persistent persuasion and negotiation, we finally convinced the unscrupulous breeder to give up ownership. With the assistance of the KK9 organization, we successfully rescued all the dogs in the breeder¡¯s possession. Among them was #weact_willow, who was finally able to escape the dark, stuffy breeding facility and embrace a new life.

Personality
Our spirited Willow embraces the entire world as her stage, soaking in daily happiness. From the instant she steps into the field at The Home to the very last moments, her energy knows no bounds, as she bounces and moves with perfect rhythm. A mere stroll cannot capture the profound joy she experiences. Rest assured, even if she expends all her happiness today, come tomorrow morning, Willow's joyous spirit will be fully recharged! When the time comes for other dogs to engage in exercise or training, she often expresses her yearning to join with lively barks. Given her intelligence, she is poised to excel in activities like agility training. There's just one thing to be mindful of with Willow—avoid raising your hand higher than her head. Due to past experiences of abuse from her previous owner, Willow cowers when confronted with raised hands. Nevertheless, her affection for people remains unswerving; she's quick to display her trust by exposing her belly to those she favors, and at times, she rests her elegant chin on their legs.

With humans
Willow likes people and follows them well. She's not only into running and playing with other dogs, but she also cleverly establishes her own rules for playing with people.

With dogs
Willow gets along with dogs of all sizes and enjoys running around with them in the field at The Home. While she's careful when greeting smaller dogs, her abundant energy might be a bit overwhelming for more timid ones.

With cats
Willow hasn't met or lived with cats before.

Energy level
Willow just loves to play all day long. She's super excited every day to run around with energy. Because she loves her friends so much, an environment where she can expend her energy and hang out with others would be idea.

Shedding/Barking
Willow sheds quite a bit, but it's essential that she shouldn't be shaved. Therefore, regular trimming and brushing are important. She also exhibits demand barking.

Needs help with
It¡¯s important to help Willow manage her excitement when meeting other dogs or people. However, while doing so, provide her with a variety of experiences to help burn off her energy. Since Willow enjoys learning new things, it's crucial to provide educational activities. She tends to express her desires through barking, so please patiently teach her what she can and can't demand.

Health specifics
Willow is healthy.

Ideal family
Willow exhibits good walking manners and behaves well on a leash. She is always enthusiastic about playing and learning, making her a potential great match for a family that can match her energy level. Due to her past experience of abuse, it's important to correct her firmly but avoid scolding if she makes a mistake. Despite her radiant and beautiful appearance that might give the impression she lived as a princess, it's crucial to remember that she carries emotional scars deep down. Willow is an intelligent dog who has the capacity for growth based on her environment. With a positive environment that includes diverse play and interaction, she has the potential to flourish. By providing Willow with these opportunities, your family's daily life will be further enriched.
