Rescue story
After receiving a tip about five abandoned dogs and the remains of another, WEACT went to a breeding facility in Ilpae-dong, Namyangju. It had been two years since our last visit, but the place appeared frozen in time, hardly different from before. The dogs' lives hadn't improved at all, suffering from neglect as the local authorities turned a blind eye. They were left to scavenge for food in constant hunger and forced into continuous breeding and birthing cycles. When the breeder became aware of our rescue attempt, he tried to secretly relocate the dogs under the cover of night. During this process, we also discovered and saved additional mother dogs and their pups hidden in nearby vacant lots, neighboring yards, and even inside homes. Through persistent persuasion and negotiation, we finally convinced the unscrupulous breeder to give up ownership. With the assistance of the KK9 organization, we successfully rescued all the dogs in the breeder¡¯s possession. Among them was #weact_ashie, who was finally able to escape the dark, stuffy breeding facility and embrace a new life.

Personality
¡°Even if you're all grown up, it's alright! You can embrace tomorrow with the spirit of a puppy!"
Ashie stands out among her dog friends as a bit of a teacher; if a friend mistreats another or acts carelessly, she steps in and corrects them with a firm hand, much like a leader. However, there's also a childlike aspect to Ashie. When playtime rolls around and she wants something, she eagerly grabs it. And when she's around people, she positions herself at the center, warmly greeting everyone for attention and love. This lighthearted side seems to be something she mainly shares with humans. Wouldn¡¯t it be nice to set aside any concerns and travel with Ashie?

With humans
To Ashie, humans mean love! Even as she has a blast with her dog friends, the moment her family shows up, she dashes over to them to share her day with boundless excitement.

With dogs
Ashie gets along great with other dogs, but if one behaves poorly, she steps up to demonstrate the right way. She seems to prefer hanging out with familiar friends at daycare or in the neighborhood, rather than being in a park with dogs of varying temperaments.

With cats
Ashie hasn¡¯t met or lived with cats before.

Energy level
Ashie is full of energy, whether at home or outside! Be sure to take her on walks at least twice a day so she can soak in the surroundings.

Shedding/Barking
Ashie doesn't shed much and expresses her demands through barking.

Needs help with
Ashie uses barking to express her feelings. If she wants something, she might let out loud barks. Teaching her to wait patiently would be helpful. Moreover, because she's bursting with energy, consistent leash training is important for her safety during walks. Given Ashie's strong affection for people, there's a possibility she could develop separation anxiety if left alone. During the adjustment phase, stick by Ashie to provide reassurance, gradually instilling in her the trust that the family will always return.

Health specifics
Ashie has dietary allergies and is being fed hypoallergenic kibble. Apart from that, she's very healthy.

Ideal family
Ashie's love for people surpasses even her fondness for dog friends. A family with many members, or any family that can share plenty of time during the day, would be an excellent match. After longing for a loving family, Ashie has finally found her starting point. As this is her first time living in a home, please be patient and understanding if she makes mistakes. She will overcome any challenges with the family's love and support. While Ashie would thrive with fellow resident dogs, it would be good to check their compatibility. Given her dietary allergies and ongoing vaccinations, we're looking for a lifelong family that can ensure her health is well taken care of.
