Rescue story
After receiving a tip about five abandoned dogs and the remains of another, WEACT went to a breeding facility in Ilpae-dong, Namyangju. It had been two years since our last visit, but the place appeared frozen in time, hardly different from before. The dogs' lives hadn't improved at all, suffering from neglect as the local authorities turned a blind eye. They were left to scavenge for food in constant hunger and forced into continuous breeding and birthing cycles. When the breeder became aware of our rescue attempt, he tried to secretly relocate the dogs under the cover of night. During this process, we also discovered and saved additional mother dogs and their pups hidden in nearby vacant lots, neighboring yards, and even inside homes. Through persistent persuasion and negotiation, we finally convinced the unscrupulous breeder to give up ownership. With the assistance of the KK9 organization, we successfully rescued all the dogs in the breeder¡¯s possession. Among them was #weact_soda, who was finally able to escape the dark, stuffy breeding facility and embrace a new life.

Personality
"Would you like to create beautiful memories together?"
Soda, who was pregnant at the time of her rescue, gave birth to five healthy puppies! While it was a joy to meet her puppies, she immediately devoted herself to caring for them. We were concerned that she didn't have much time for herself during that period. However, after successfully raising her pups, Soda has now entered the second chapter of her life. She's currently exploring various experiences with her loving foster family, enjoying walks with the resident dog, and spending peaceful days observing her family members and their ____expression____s. Soda's life is destined for new adventures ahead. Would you like to join Soda in continuing this story, one that we can look back on with laughter and nostalgia in the future?

With humans
Soda tends to keep her distance from strangers, but the key to getting close to her is patience. Sudden actions might startle her, so if you wait where she can see you, she will gradually open up and approach you. While Soda is patient and can build trust with anyone given time, she behaves differently around young children. She can coexist in the same space under adult supervision, but it appears that she may be suppressing her discomfort. Therefore, it's advisable to avoid having her around young children as it could stress her out.

With dogs
Due to the responsibilities of caring for her puppies and her post-surgery recovery, Soda had limited opportunities to interact with other dogs in open spaces like a field. However, according to her foster family, Soda isn't highly active when with friends, but she also doesn't seem to enjoy playing alone. She prefers quiet and calm interactions over energetic play with other dogs.

With cats
Soda encountered a cat during her walk but didn't show much interest and continued.

Energy level
Soda's favorite words are ¡°Let's go out¡± and ¡°Let's go for a walk!¡± Although she may not be very active, she relishes leisurely walks outdoors, savoring the fresh air and the various scents. She prefers quiet or familiar settings to crowded urban areas. It would be wonderful if you could accompany Soda on a serene walk together at least once a day.

Shedding/Barking
Soda has a tendency to bark defensively and sheds fur to the extent that tufts are often found on the floor.

Needs help with
Soda loves her puppies deeply. When she is with them, she displays a reliable and dignified demeanor. However, now we hope she can share her stubbornness and playful nature with her new family. Please help expand Soda's world by providing her with various experiences.

Health specifics
Soda is very healthy.

Ideal family
Soda has a quiet and calm personality, cherishing her moments of solitude and relaxation. Providing her with her own space will help her feel comfortable. Building trust with Soda may take time, but once it's established, she relies heavily on her family. In the presence of her foster family, she displays strong protective instincts when strangers approach or other dogs bark. Soda tends to follow male guardians a little better than female guardians, so there¡¯s no doubt that she¡¯ll become her dad¡¯s best friend. She enjoys leisurely sniffing around, so if you have the time, taking her to different places to explore various scents would be wonderful. She has a small appetite, but when hungry, she will eat. However, she may occasionally go without food for longer periods, so please ensure her health is closely monitored. Soda is uncomfortable in crowded areas and startles easily with sudden movements, so a calm and quiet environment suits her best. It's advisable not to place her in homes with very young children who might have trouble respecting her boundaries. We are seeking a patient and responsible lifelong family that can embrace Soda's pace and provide her with a joyful life.
