Sandy was rescued from an illegal puppy mill. She was rescued with her mom and three of her littermates!
Sandy would do best as the only dog because she heavily depends on her pawrents. We are looking for an active family who has experience in socialization and desensitization because of Sandy’s temperament.
She needs time to make friends at first because she gets scared easily. But once she becomes your friend, she plays well and hard! She gets scared of dogs that approach her too fast or have too much energy. When she meets dogs on walks, she tends to shy away from them.
She loves humans of any age or gender. But she'll get scared if you make loud sounds.
She hasn't lived with cats but when she met them on walks, she was scared.
She is still a puppy so she naps a lot. However, she needs a home that will keep her occupied and keep her active when she's not napping. She currently goes on two hours of walk a day, in 3-4 sessions but doesn’t tire out.
Welsh corgi sheds all year long. Sandy is a talker who communicates her fears via barking.

Because of her scared and shy nature, Sandy needs to work on socialization. She needs to build confidence and learn desensitization to noises and foreign environments. We’re looking for a family that can show Sandy that this world is full of not just scary things but also many wonderful, fun things!
