Pa was rescued from the Gimpo dog farm. According to the farmer, she was born and raised on the farm. She was very scared of humans when we rescued her, but under the care of a loving of a foster family, she has blossomed into a playful, affectionate dog.
At first, Pa has a timid nature, because of living conditions she lived in on the farm. She would be happiest with a family who can be patient, spend a lot of time together, and help her build her confidence. She does have a little separation anxiety, and needs care to help her overcome this. This process will take time, and she may need you to be around for her quite a bit, at least in the beginning.
Pa is interested in meeting people, but this needs to be on her terms, at her pace. Once she is more familiar with you, she is quite happy to get your affection. Unfamiliar people approaching her still leaves her a little scared, but she will overcome this in the future.
Pa is still scared of strange dogs, and needs more opportunities to socialize. But once she gets over the initial meetings and has a chance to become more familiar, she is usually much better, and has made friends with dogs she has met several times.
She has never been together with a cat in the same room, but when she sees them outside she didn't show any interest.
Pa is not very active, but she likes to get outside for short walks, at least twice a day.
There is a lot of hair loss and almost no barking. When she's left alone at home, she howls a bit.
Needs to work on
Pa has some separation anxiety, and is being trained for this. She is learning basic commands indoors, and is learning crate-training. She needs more work with recall outdoors.
Pa has a persistent cough which is the sideeffects of heartworm. She has be spayed, and is receiving the last of her vaccinations.
