Rescue Story
Lego was rescued in Namyangju Illegal Puppy Mill Complex C. This complex was the worst of the worst, and the dogs were living in hell. When the rescuers arrived on the scene, it was impossible to see without a flashlight and breathe due to the odor of ammonia and animal waste. Having lived in the dark for so long, these dogs were outright terrified of humans. They had grown so used to these horrendous living conditions that it wasn't even possible for them to dream of seeing the sun, breathing in the crisp air, and running around freely. Lego was one of many breeders that were being ruthlessly used for profit and deprived of proper veterinary care until WEACT rescued him last winter from life of hell.

Personality
Lego, the social butterfly of dogs, loves saying hi to his friends and eating treats (especially churu)! He is still learning to enjoy the company of humans, so you might often find him getting cozy in his kennel. Rather than reaching out to Lego, wait for him to get comfortable and approach you. He'll soon be wagging his tail for your attention! Lego is making slow but mighty steps in familiarizing himself with the outside world. It may take time and lots of patience, but as long as you wait for Lego, he will slowly open up to you :)

With humans
Lego is still scared of people but if you wait for him to get adjusted to his surroundings, he will soon approach you!

With dogs
Lego doesn't have much experience playing with other dogs but he wags his tail whenever he sees them!

With cats
Lego has never met a cat.

Energy Level
Because Lego has only recently started going on walks, it's hard to know his energy level in detail. It may be helpful to take him on walks at least twice a day to let him explore new places.

Shedding/Barking
Lego doesn't shed. While he doesn't bark much, Lego whines if he wants something from you.

Needs help with
While Lego pees on pads, he prefers to poop outdoors. Walking him at least twice a day would allow him to have the opportunity to relieve himself. Lego knows his name, but it would be beneficial to work on reliable recall. Training him to wait for food or treats so he can be more relaxed while eating. Because Lego likes to chew on cables and rip up pee pads, putting these items out of reach and providing special toys or treats to chew on can help address the behavior.

Health Specifics
Lego is healthy. He does get carsick so it may be best to avoid long trips.

Ideal family
Because Lego is scared of people and dislikes being touched suddenly, families with young children may not be suitable for him. We are looking for a family who can wait for Lego to open up and help him overcome his fears one by one. Lego likes dogs so if he were to join a household with other canine friends, he may adjust to his new home quickly. He is still being potty-trained and will need extra encouragement during walks to help boost his confidence. Lego is waiting for his forever family who looks forward to experiencing new things together!
