Rescue Story
WEACT headed to Jeongeup after receiving a video of a tiny puppy struggling as a man swung it around by the snout. That dog was Shorty. After arriving at the scene, WEACT also found Only and Chunli, who were tied up on very short chains. You could tell by the state of their water bowls how much neglect they¡¯d suffered and what kind of environment they¡¯d lived in, yet the owner insisted that he was doing a good job of raising the dogs. After a long confrontation, the owner finally surrendered the dogs, and that¡¯s now Only, Chunli, and Shorty came into WEACT¡¯s care. Chunli was pregnant at the time of rescue and soon gave birth to #weact_nari, #weact_ferrari, #weact_bumblebee, #weact_fairy, #weact_hyory, #weact_bentley, #weact_dali, and #weact_kory, who all became part of the WEACT family.

Personality
Nari may still just be a puppy, but she¡¯s got an amazing little personality and is super sociable. She not only gets along really well with people, but she¡¯s also fearless and can get anything done with confidence! Since her teeth are still growing in, everything in the house looks like toys to her. She enjoys chewing on wooden furniture, wires, towels, etc, but she finds that the best toys out of them all are the ones that her foster mom puts in mouth. She¡¯s a big fan of toys that make noise, but her favorite thing in the world is to play tug with her foster mom! Nari isn¡¯t especially affectionate, but she always likes to fall asleep next to someone – that¡¯s her way of saying ¡°I love you!¡±

With humans
Nari is ready to have fun with just about any human!

With dogs
Nari hasn¡¯t met another dog before, but she¡¯s shown no reaction to other dogs passing by.

With cats
Nari has never met a cat and didn¡¯t show much interest in cats passing by.

Energy Level
Nari spends 1-2 hours sleeping, 1-2 hours playing excitedly, then repeating this cycle! She¡¯s a super energetic puppy who runs around the house with her toys after she¡¯s had a good nap. She hasn¡¯t been on walks yet, but she¡¯ll probably need at least two walks a day based on her energy levels!

Shedding/Barking
Nari sheds a lot as she¡¯s still a puppy, but this could change once she becomes an adult. She doesn¡¯t bark except when she hears the robot vacuum cleaner and speaker announcements inside the house, which she hates.

Needs help with
Nari is 90% indoor potty trained, and with just a bit more practice, she¡¯ll perfect the art! Nari has separation anxiety so she doesn¡¯t like it when her foster mom is out for too long. Thanks to her foster mom¡¯s loving care, the anxiety has gotten a lot better, but she still doesn¡¯t like to be alone. Please teach her that alone time can be nice too! Living with humans can be a challenge – their movements can be very rapid, and the sound of strong wind or of children running around can be scary. Please help Nari learn that these sounds are all very natural and nothing to be afraid of. In addition to this, we hope you¡¯ll help socialize her so she can grow into a fabulous young lady. And since Nari will be going on daily walks in the future, we hope you¡¯ll teach her what fun it can be to walk in step with her guardian. She¡¯s great at putting on her collar but has no experience going on walks just yet. Easing into it before going on regular walks would be ideal. Since Nari is very food-motivated, giving treats as rewards should have her learning in no time.

Health Specifics
Nari is healthy.

Ideal family
Because Nari is still young, she needs a lot of care and attention. The world is still unfamiliar to her and she doesn¡¯t have many experiences yet, and we hope her family can give her the care and training she needs during this crucial development period. Nari has a lot to learn and experience in the future. We hope her forever family can spend lots of time with her and give her diverse experiences so she can grow into a fine young pup.
