Rescue Story
#weact_one and #weact_B2 were rescued from an agricultural drain. After receiving an urgent report that puppies were stuck in a drain and in danger of drowning if water were to flow through, WEACT rushed to the scene. According to a villager, a white van had pulled up next to the field in the evening a few days earlier, and they heard yelping sounds soon after the door opened. The next day, the villagers found two one-month-old puppies in the drain and requested immediate assistance from WEACT. The rescue effort wasn’t easy — the drain was far too narrow for humans to enter, and when we tried to get the puppies out, they hid deeper out of fear. After half a day of trying, WEACT finally managed to rescue One and his brother, B2.


Personality
"Hey friends, play with me!" One's favorite thing in the world is to play! He enjoys running around, going on walks, and playing with his toys. His well-rounded personality allows him to freely approach strangers and put smiles on their faces. One loves to spend time with people, especially those who can give him endless pets. He will pour all his energy into playing before going to catch some Zs. One can sometimes get too excited around other dogs; by teaching him how to relax and greet them calmly, he will have a better time getting along with his friends!


With humans
One LOVES people of all ages and will greet everyone with his helicopter tail! He cherishes every moment he spends with his foster family.


With dogs
One isn't the least bit shy. He'll actively approach other dogs first, and because he's so friendly, he gets along with them without any problem. Once he learns how to approach them with better manners, he's sure to get along with any dog!


With cats
One has never met a cat.


Energy level
One is an energizer who LOVES to run around outside! He needs to be walked at least twice a day and have regular playtime.


Shedding/Barking
One tends to shed a lot. He almost never barks - only very occasionally when he is upset or surprised.


Needs help with
One has partially mastered the use of potty pads but he prefers to do his business outdoors. Because he is so energetic, he likes to walk ahead and often pull on the leash. He may also bark out of frustration and stop during walks if other dogs or people passing by don't give him attention. One is not a fan of blow dryers, baths, and getting his teeth brushed or paws cleaned. It'll be helpful to create a positive association with these activities using lots of treats and toys. Even though One didn't get to have many experiences during his socialization period as a puppy, he loves dogs. But he could use a few lessons in becoming a calmer, better-mannered dog when approaching his canine friends!


Health specifics
One is allergic to eggs so please make sure that his meals and treats do not contain them. He survived distemper, but still exhibits some neurological symptoms, such as involuntary tics. One's tic disorder is not too severe so he is able to live a comfortable, happy life just like any other dog.


Ideal family
Because One loves people so much, it would be best if he could live with a large family so he can get all the love he wants. And since he likes playing with dog friends so much more than playing alone, it would be ideal for him to live with a dog that can match his very high energy levels. One is a growing boy who is just getting to know the world. We hope he can find a responsible family who can keep his vaccinations up to date and care for him after neutering. Our curious One is looking for a forever family who can show him more of the world!
