Rescue story
WEACT received a report that dogs were being neglected in a shed in Mungyeong. The previous owner was ignorant of the importance of sterilization and failed to provide proper care. Due to uncontrolled breeding, there was overpopulation. The dogs were standing in their own feces, barely surviving on contaminated water and food. It took three separate trips to rescue a total of 48 dogs, and #weact_ted was one of the survivors to finally take a step outside the dreadful shed. Personality Ted spent most of his life not knowing humans. Right after his rescue, it was as if he was experiencing the world for the first time. Everything about people—their appearance, smell, and movements—was unfamiliar and a source of wariness. However, after gradually getting used to being close to people at #WeActTheHome and undergoing socialization training, Ted began to enjoy human companionship. He learned that being touched doesn't mean harm, and he discovered the joy of playing games to find treats. He loves his dog furiends even more and is becoming playful and full of spirit. Now, Ted is ready to learn about a loving family for the first time. Imagine how happy and excited he will be when he finally finds his furever home! With humans Ted gets along well with people, allowing touch as long as they approach him gently. He enjoys walks and will happily follow anyone leading him. Once unimaginable after his rescue, he now smiles happily when being carried by familiar people. Although he doesn¡¯t show extravagant __expression__s, it¡¯s easy to see that Ted¡¯s heart is filling with love. He hasn't had the chance to meet children yet, so please keep a close eye on him if he encounters one. With dogs Ted enjoys being around most dogs. He seems happier when he¡¯s with his friends and relies on them quite a bit. He loves to play, so while his white fur may quickly get dirty, providing plenty of time for fun with his friends will surely skyrocket Ted¡¯s happiness! Energy Level Ted loves walks more than anything. Please make sure to take him for two walks a day, as he is willing to happily follow anyone who takes him out. Needs help with Ted is potty trained to go outside, so it¡¯s essential to take him out for daily walks. Since walking is one of his favorite activities, varying the routes or extending the distance can help him keep things exciting for him. As Ted is new to family life, home may feel strange at first. Please give him time to adjust and prioritize building trust between him and his family over strict training. Once he feels secure in his relationship with his humans, he will be able to accomplish anything. Health specifics Ted has been diagnosed with heart disease B1. Although it is not severe enough to require medication, regular monitoring and treatment may still be necessary. Ideal family Having been neglected and confined by an animal hoarder for a long time, It took a significant amount of time for Ted¡¯s socialization training. Touch, leashes, baths, and grooming were all unfamiliar to him, but he has made daily efforts and now enjoys human touch and happily goes for walks on a leash like any beloved dog. However, he may still have some habits or memories from his time in survival mode. It¡¯s understandable that he might need time to build trust, especially since he hasn¡¯t had the chance to experience unconditional love or protection before. For Ted, a guardian who consistently supports him through thick and thin will provide the reassurance he needs. It¡¯s important for his new home to offer companionship and support, and he would thrive with a family that is patient as he adjusts. If there¡¯s a resident dog, that could ease his adjustment, and if not, a friendly environment where he can frequently meet other dogs would be ideal, as he loves dog furiends. We are looking for loving parents who will cherish Ted¡¯s cuteness, curiosity, and love for treats! More photos and videos https://www.instagram.com/À§¾×Æ®Å×µå |
