Rescue story
In the late summer of 2024, as the heat lingered, WEACT headed to a "home" in Busan. Upon arriving and opening the door, we were met with a scene of various household trash and filth, leaving no space to step. When we opened the refrigerator, the bodies of dead dogs poured out. The stench and gases from the decaying bodies left at room temperature made our eyes and noses sting. One dog lay on the floor among the crawling cockroaches, struggling to breathe; another, a younger dog, peeked out from a pile of feces; and yet another, covered in hardened waste-like armor, was unrecognizable. For the first time, these neglected dogs, including #BusanAnimalHoarder rescue dog #weact_dumbo, were able to step outside and breathe clean air. Most of them were in a frail state, weighing less than 3 kg. In this tragic scene, once misleadingly called a "home," WEACT rescued 14 dogs, including #weact_dumbo. WEACT is committed to finding them a true home that lives up to its name.

Personality
A Whole New World for Dumbo!
Spread your wings and soar sweet Dumbo! ¢¾
Every day, Dumbo is blossoming into the best pup, surrounded by the love of her foster family. She absolutely adores them and has developed the cutest habit of snuggling up close whenever her foster mom sits down. Sometimes she even gets a bit jealous of the other pups, but it's all in good fun—just sweet, playful jealousy without a hint of aggression. With her cherished family by her side, Dumbo is always ready to set off on a new adventure!

With humans
Dumbo has grown to trust her foster family so much that she's now her foster mom¡¯s little shadow. She loves curling up on a lap, drifting off into a cozy nap. Though she¡¯s still a bit wary of strangers and finds tall figures a little intimidating, Dumbo is starting to respond to her name and slowly discovering the joy of connecting with people. Every little step is a big leap for her!

With dogs
Dumbo loves spending time with her dog friends at her foster home and is all in for group play at the dog park! She'll start by eagerly mingling with the other pups, but before long, she¡¯s likely to find a cozy spot to relax. She gets along wonderfully with her furry friends, though now and then, she might let out a soft little growl—just to show she feels extra brave when her favorite human is nearby.

Energy Level
Since bouncing back from her surgery, Dumbo has discovered the joy of sniffy walks and playtime at the dog park. With her caregiver's help, she¡¯s aced her walk training and now eagerly awaits her two daily adventures!

Needs help with
Even without formal training, Dumbo is pad-trained indoors and also does her business outside. While she¡¯s still getting the hang of the crate, she¡¯ll happily go inside if there¡¯s food waiting for her. More than anything, Dumbo just needs a loving, supportive environment where she can build a trusting bond with her caregiver.

Health specifics
Dumbo is recovering from partial ligament surgery and needs to take it easy for now, avoiding big jumps and intense movements. But aside from that, she¡¯s doing great and is in good health.

Ideal family
Dumbo loves to be close to her caregiver, so a family who can spend lots of time with her would be perfect. She enjoys being the center of attention and would thrive as the only pet in a home filled with love and cuddles. Even with her healing leg, Dumbo still enjoys trotting through grassy fields, having little runs, and sniffing the great outdoors. We can¡¯t wait for her to find a fun, energetic family who will explore the world with her as she recovers and blossoms!
