Rescue Story
Louis was rescued from Gumi Dog Hell, where over 80 dogs were left neglected. At the time of his rescue, Louis¡¯s AST and ALT levels (indication of liver function) were high and he had a mild case of pneumonia. He is now healthy after receiving necessary treatments.

Personality
Louis can be skittish and cautious. Although he appears interested in meeting new people, he is hesitant to approach them. He may also be afraid to move towards the front door to leave for his walks. However, once he steps aside, he loves trotting along and exploring the world. Once Louis warms up to you, he will enthrall you with his irresistible charm and constant kisses. You will be falling head over heels in love!

With humans
Louis can be shy at first. He does not approach new people and takes interest in them from a safe distance. He may linger or sniff around if you give him treats (which he absolutely loves!). He also does not take special interest in children when he encounters them during his walks.

With dogs
Louis loves spending time with friends that are on the same wavelength as him. He tends to be afraid of dogs that are too enthusiastic or a bit aggressive. Also, although he takes interest in other dogs that he meets on his walks, he will not approach them first.

With cats
Louis has not been tested with cats yet. He appears disinterested and walks past them if he encounters any cats during his walks.

Energy Level
Louis can dance the night away with friends he hits it off with! Also, because his energy level tends to be high, he must be walked at least 2 times a day. While Louis loves both his walks and visits to the dog park, he prefers his walks over the dog park.

Shedding/Barking
Louis sheds moderately and rarely barks.

Needs help with
Louis can be skittish towards people and fears touching. As a result, extra caution is required when holding or touching him. He does not mind gentle pets when he is sitting. We think it will be effective to train him by giving him treats since this cutie has a sweet tooth. Please also be mindful that he is afraid of unfamiliar and loud noises. He can be frightened by loud noises or barking dogs that he encounters on his walks, but he will be okay if he quickly passes by them.

Health Specifics
none.

Ideal family
Louis¡¯s ideal family would have another dog that can be his pawmate! His energy level can get high and he has been getting along incredibly well with another dog at his foster home. Louis loves playing but prefers to hang out with friends that are not too aggressive. He also loves lounging on soft cushions and sleeping with his pawmates. Please understand that it takes Louis some time to warm up to people. He would appreciate it if you gave him enough time to get to know you and be trained slowly. This sweetheart is looking for a family that would open his heart of gold and become his forever companion. Will you become Louis¡¯s missing puzzle piece that will help him put his past aside and fill his life with happy memories.
