Rescue story
In the summer of 2023, WEACT headed to a breeding facility in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do upon receiving a report. Despite having official government approval, the scene was more distressing than anything we had witnessed before. It was filled with severe abuse, illicit euthanizations, unauthorized c-section procedures, and other unlawful practices. Dogs with ruptured eyes, injured limbs, and such severe emaciation that they were in a state of shock were discovered. These unfortunate dogs had endured continuous breeding within cramped cages, with their lives disregarded, devoid of any compassion. Drawing from the evidence gathered at the scene and the tips we had received, WEACT confirmed the harrowing act of using a box cutter to open a mother dog's belly to extract the puppies. We also uncovered a freezer containing over 100 dog carcasses wrapped in newspaper. When the freezer became too crowded, the dogs were illegally buried in the nearby mountains. Initially estimating around 800 dogs at the site, we were ultimately astounded to discover a staggering total of 1,426 dogs. Fortunately, the dedicated efforts of approximately 20 fellow organizations who swiftly offered their assistance, volunteers from across the country, various government agencies, and the cooperation of Gyeonggi-do provided invaluable support for the rescue mission. Together, we achieved an unprecedented miracle by saving all the abused dogs. WEACT brought home 32 dogs, including #weact_prin.

Personality
Prin, who always buzzes around, is said to be a must-watch for anyone who hasn't seen her video at least once!
She loves taking in everything with her eyes and exploring through her nose, always on the move. When she spots someone she likes, she runs towards them, jumping around to grab their attention! Known affectionately as 'Dongdong' by the #WEACTTheHome family for her playful antics, Prin is consistently full of energy, especially when engaging with friends. If she starts chewing on the fence or pads at home, it might be a sign of boredom or teething. Prin adores interacting with caregivers and volunteers, confidently displaying her charm. Fearless with human touch, she cooperates well during baths and grooming. Clever Prin has even mastered the art of opening the fence gate, so keeping an eye on her in certain spaces is crucial to prevent escapes.

With humans
Meet Prin - the sweetheart who loves everyone! She eagerly greets The Home guardians and volunteers with boundless enthusiasm. When you step into her space, Prin comes running, ready for some affection. Her social nature and friendly spirit make it impossible not to fall for her charm. While she hasn't met young children, Prin is open to anyone's touch, expressing affection with joy.

With dogs
Prin gets along well with other rescues from Hwaseong and dogs of a similar build. She shows a strong desire to play by climbing on top of #weact_lena, and these two besties share the same energy level, joyfully rolling around. Because of Prin's petite size, she may occasionally get knocked over while playing. Whenever other dogs pass by the fence in the play area, she barks to let her presence known.

With cats
Prin hasn't met or lived with cats before.

Energy level
Prin never seems to tire, even after continuous play. Specifically, she enthusiastically plays without a break when with compatible friends. Her activity level is remarkably high. As she¡¯s still undergoing vaccinations, she can't go for walks yet, but she's actively practicing walking and running on a leash. Occasionally, Prin may try to chew on the leash or collar when she finds it cumbersome or feels bored.

Shedding/Barking
Prin doesn't shed much and only barks in response to friends. This may vary depending on the environment.

Needs help with
Prin doesn't recognize her name yet. Once active recall is achieved, it would be beneficial to help her focus on her guardian. After completing vaccinations, she should continue practicing wearing a leash and collar for outdoor walks. Since Prin occasionally exhibits coprophagia (eating feces), it's important to identify and correct the underlying cause.

Health specifics
Since Prin is still young, she has not been spayed, and it is necessary to continue with essential vaccinations. She doesn¡¯t seem to have allergies, but this may change as she grows. Prin has a hernia in the abdomen, and since her stools are generally loose, careful monitoring and care are needed.

Ideal family
Prin, known for her gentle and friendly nature, is ready to welcome love wherever she goes. Still in her growing phase, Prin radiates pure joy but may sometimes show moments of clumsiness and immaturity. Her ideal family would comprehend her personality, provide suitable training, and grow together harmoniously. Due to her small size, Prin may occasionally get knocked over, making it ideal for her to be the only dog in the household. She enjoys approaching and playing with other dogs, so if there are other pets at home, it's crucial to assess their compatibility and nurture a positive relationship. As a little one unfamiliar with the world, Prin eagerly awaits a family to guide her through various experiences and support her daily growth.
