Rescue story
WEACT received a tip in March of 2021 that there were dogs dying at #HwaseongPaltanDogFarm. Upon seeing the stiff bodies of the dogs in the photos, we immediately headed to Hwaseong. The site was even more terrifying in person. There were 12 neglected dogs either trapped in small cages or tied up on short leashes with only food waste in a bowl. Without proper shelter, they had to endure extreme weather conditions and fear for their lives. Thanks to the help from our volunteers and RE:BIRTH, we were able to rescue all 12 dogs as well as three stray dogs nearby. #weact_rinda was finally able to escape from the cold, dark place and finally get to know the beautiful world waiting for her.

Personality
Meet WEACT¡¯s Wonder Woman, Rinda!

Rinda is smart and strong like Wonder Woman. With exceptional spatial awareness, she knows how to differentiate indoor and outdoor environments. She¡¯s calm inside the house and likes to rest in her kennel. When she goes outside for walks, Rinda lets out her energy and runs with the wind! Because of her high-energy, Rinda may run up to nearby dog friends and scare them away. She¡¯ll need some training to greet them calmly and with lots of encouragement, she¡¯ll learn very quickly. Rinda thinks dearly of her foster family and loves people regardless of their age and gender. She loves to express her affection to everyone, winning their hearts over. Her enthusiasm is boundless, and letting her solve problems on her own will help her grow and be confident!

With humans
Linda loves everyone regardless of their age. She loves spending every moment with people!

With dogs
While Rinda is super energetic, she gets shy when meeting other dogs that she doesn¡¯t greet them first. There is also a chance that she may fight with small dog friends.

With cats
Rinda has never met a cat. Because Rinda is pretty energetic, it might not be ideal for her to live with a cat.

Energy level
Rinda loves going on walks so she¡¯ll need at least two walks a day. It would make her so happy if you run around a big field with her!

Shedding/Barking
Rinda tends to shed a lot and may bark when she wants food.

Needs help with
Rinda has mastered outdoor potty 100% and will need to be walked at least two times a day. She will also need training for indoor potty if necessary. Because Rinda loves going on walks so much, she may get over excited and even try to attack small dogs passing by. She also loves people so much that she may come and jump on them. It would be helpful to teach her how to behave and greet others during walks.

Health specifics
Rinda is healthy!

Ideal family
Because Rinda loves people so much, she would do well as the only dog in the family so she can receive all the love from them! It would be wonderful if Rinda could go on walks at least twice a day to go potty and freely run around before winding down at home. We hope her family can patiently teach our energizer how to greet other dogs and people calmly. With lots of love and encouragement, she will quickly learn and adjust to her surroundings. Rinda is waiting for a forever family who can help her enjoy her life to the fullest and watch over her day and night :)
