Rescue Story
The owner of the dog farm at 345 Hyangsan-ri kept dogs on his land, anticipating that he'd be compensated for his livestock once the area underwent redevelopment. About 40 dogs, including newborn puppies, were barely surviving on food waste inside filthy cages piled high with garbage. The owner hastily disposed of most of the dogs by giving them to other dog farms, leaving only five or six dogs behind. #weact_Mona was one of those dogs.


Personality
Mona is a gentlewoman who reacts very calmly to everything. Even if you do something she doesn’t like, such as giving her a bath or picking her up, the most she’ll do is show displeasure on her face. She’s really the most patient dog ever! Mona never barks or whines, even when she wants something, and she’s never reacted badly to being inside her kennel. This super calm lady knows how to politely refuse anything she doesn’t like :) With the exception of dogs, there’s nothing Mona especially dislikes, and she’s not possessive over anything or any person in particular. Mona enjoys playing quietly by herself and enjoys her alone time.


With humans
Mona shows no negative reactions toward people – she’ll even allow strangers to touch her! She’s very calm with everyone, regardless of age or gender. You can become friends with her in in an instant, and once you get to know each other, Mona's oodles of affection will melt your heart! If you pet her slowly, you’ll find her relaxing and enjoying your touch in no time at all.


With dogs
Mona really, really, really hates dogs. She doesn’t even want to say hello. Don’t even look at her :-(


With cats
Mona hasn’t met a cat yet, but based on observations of her behavior so far, living with a cat most likely isn’t going to be possible.


Energy Level
Mona loves going for walks. Since she prefers to go potty outdoors, the more you take her out the better. She especially likes rubbing her back on the grass! Mona has very good manners when out for walks and prefers to walk at a leisurely pace while quietly sniffing her surroundings rather than running around energetically.


Shedding/Barking
Mona sheds a lot. She never barks, even when she wants something.


Needs help with
Mona doesn’t need further training. She's crate trained and knows how to sit, so she’s ready to learn cool new tricks!

Ideal family
Mona doesn't like dogs, so a house without other dogs is ideal. Since Mona doesn’t have high energy levels, a home with a calm atmosphere where both dog and humans can chill together would be most suitable. Mona is waiting to find a forever home where her alone time will be respected and where she can relax while getting all the pets she wants.
