Rescue Story
WEACT headed to Jeongeup after receiving a video of a tiny puppy struggling as a man swung it around by the snout. That dog was Shorty. After arriving at the scene, WEACT also found Only and Chunli, who were tied up on very short chains. You could tell by the state of their water bowls how much neglect they¡¯d suffered and what kind of environment they¡¯d lived in, yet the owner insisted that he was doing a good job of raising the dogs. After a long confrontation, the owner finally surrendered the dogs, and that¡¯s now Only, Chunli, and Shorty came into WEACT¡¯s care. Chunli was pregnant at the time of rescue and soon gave birth to #weact_fairy, #weact_bumblebee, #weact_ferrari, #weact_hyory, #weact_bentley, #weact_dali, and #weact_kory, who all became part of the WEACT family.

Personality
Fairy is her mommy¡¯s little shadow! She likes to stick close to her foster mom all day. When the family is all together, she likes to lie down next to them and spend time with them. She loves to spend time with the family! And you can already tell Fairy is a smart young pupper – when her foster mama is cleaning the house or working, she goes into her kennel to relax. But Fairy is still learning, so unfamiliar spaces and strangers make her uncomfortable. Fairy¡¯s next favorite thing is her toys! She loves to chew on them and play with them both by herself and with people. She also shows no signs of separation anxiety. When her foster family goes out for the day, she sleeps while waiting for them to return. But sometimes when she wakes up at night, she goes to check on her mom to check on her.

With humans
Fairy likes playing with people. Even with strangers, if they let her sniff them and wait for her to approach first, she quickly befriends them and starts playing with her toys with them. She¡¯s super affectionate and gets along with everyone, including children.

With dogs
Fairy has never met any dogs besides her siblings. When she encounters other dogs on her walks, she either walks past them without reacting or sits quietly and watches them. She doesn¡¯t react much even to dogs that bark.

With cats
Fairy has never met a cat. She¡¯s seen a few cats in the streets on her walks, but she didn¡¯t show much of a reaction.

Energy Level
Fairy is full of energy except when she¡¯s sleeping. As a puppy, she sometimes falls asleep in the middle of play. Then she¡¯ll wake back up to play and fall right asleep again! She loves running and jumping around and must have at least one zoomies session in the morning and evening.

Shedding/Barking
Fairy currently doesn¡¯t shed much but that could change once she grows up. She barks quietly when she sees strange objects that make her nervous, but other than this she doesn¡¯t bark at all! Sometimes she whines when she wants something.

Needs help with
Fairy has 90% mastered indoor potty training. It would be great if her forever family could help her master it 100%. Fairy is okay with the collar but still finds the leash uncomfortable and will need help learning to be okay with it, as well as some practice walking so she can go on fun walks later on. Since she¡¯s still a puppy, she tends to get very excited. She¡¯s good at waiting patiently at home but would benefit from learning ¡°wait¡± so she can be calm outdoors. Fairy already knows her kennel is a space to relax in, but a little additional crate training would help, and she¡¯ll probably learn quickly.

Health Specifics
Fairy is healthy.

Ideal family
Fairy is a very neat girl and likes to pee and poo in separate places, so it would be great if you could provide a large enough space for her to go potty. City life and life in an apartment shouldn¡¯t be a problem for her as she isn¡¯t very sensitive to outside noises. Since she loves to run around on grass, she¡¯d really enjoy regular visits to a variety of places such as grassy dog parks in addition to her normal walks. Ideally, her family would also respect her alone time. Fairy loves people, and she¡¯ll be a very happy girl if you give her lots of attention and affection!
